The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is actually alarmed regarding the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area regularly. The service status sassaclick here level made for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that office to attend to all people who check out a sassa status service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
